Bramble rambles ....a little diary about my feline adventures...

Went
to meet the new vet today and travelled in the van, I was
completely chilled and thought the vet was a nice man too.
He looked me over and said that I was a gorgeous kitty,
so did the lady on reception and a few other people who
passed by. I just loved the attention! The vet said I could
have a bath but not very often, once a month tops - I really
needed one so Mel took on the task. It was over quite quickly
as I am only small, I miaowed a bit but I was very good
and didn't scratch hardly at all. After my bath I was very
wet but was snuggled and rubbed in a warm fluffy towel until
I was dry - it took a while. As soon as I was dry and clean
I went a bit mad, it was great - totally entertained the
owners who laughed a great deal. I had some lovely fresh
chicken at dinner time when Mel & Dave had their roast,
it was totally delicious and I can't wait 'til I get some
more. Apparently Dave is off to work tomorrow so it's just
Mel and I - I hope she's not too busy with work but from
what I have heard the last couple of days she might be.
I am sure she will fit playing time and cuddles in every
chance she gets. I am looking forward to being big enough
to sit on the desk and watch.

Another
great night, I slept like a furry little log and was bounding
about most of the day between napping and playing. Mel was
on the computer thingy which I haven't quite figured out
yet as it's up too high for me to see. Had some photos taken
and video too - I'm a natural by the way. Apparently Mel
created a 'Catbook' on Facebook for me and I have made some
new friends already (even some who live far away abroad)
- that's totally coolio. Dave made pancakes and I had some
more yummy James Wellbeloved food. I am definitely more
confident (am completely owning the living room now) and
I just LOVE my toys - they are so fab. Ooh yeah, I got a
bit bigger and have discovered the joys of bean bags! Mel
registered me at the vets today which is located at the
back of a huge pet store, hopefully that means more toys
for me!

Spent
my first night in the lounge in my new bed (which is also
my travel box and I loved it, I was very good as I used
my litter tray and didn't have any accidents - I have been
very well trained by Laura and Roy you see (the people who
brought me up after my mum left me and my sisters when I
was a week old). I was very chipper when I woke up and after
a nice breakfast had lots of play time. In the afternoon
Dave and Mel spent ages making sure all the wires and cables
were out of my reach because of my teething and need to
chew things - it took them ages and they were tired but
still managed to play lots with me. I spent quite a lot
of time napping in my new bed too because I love it so much.
I also figured out that I can watch the telly on the loo
- I am such a fancy cat (I wonder if they have Mtv Cribs
for cats)?

Well,
I'd say things are looking up! I had a marvellous day with
lots of attention, new toys, new bed and scratch post (which
is far too big for me at the moment plus the black fur on
the base kinda freaks me out). I am a bit grubby because
I like to put my paws in my food and I do not like drinking
water, I WANT MILK (although I couldn't seem to get the
hang of drinking it off the white saucer, but I got a nice
coloured bowl so I managed to have a good drink in the end).
I am LOVING the new food I got, it's super tasty and apparently
will make me very healthy and my fur very shiny, I can't
wait! My baby teeth have been playing up a bit too, but
I just have a chew on some knuckles and toes (apparently
I am not allowed to do that really, I'm still learning)
and then a nice bit of water wetted fabric that had been
put in the freezer - really helped me feel better! I met
some really nice people (Mel's mum, brother and his girlfriend)
as it was Mel's birthday - they all made me feel very special.

Arrived at my new home today and settled in quite well,
I spent all evening on the lap and chest of my new owners
- snuggling, purring and sleeping. It was very quiet as
I am the only pet in the house and I have been used to lots
of animals and a baby at my previous home. I was bought
a lovely toy with a bell but I really did not feel like
playing with it as I was a bit unsettled. I slept on my
new owners until 3am as they did not want to disturb my
sleeping. When I eventually went to bed I slept in the bathroom
in a fleece blanket lined box (with my litter tray close
by). This is because I was not sure whether I might be able
to find the toilet in the night and I did not want to have
a little accident on the carpet. All in all I think I might
like it here but I definitely need a better bed as the box
was not snug enough for me.
